Only those who understand the background can foresee
what will become important in the future.

Hi ,

In this module you will find five exciting chapters with essential background information that you need for your daily work.

Chapter 1: Anatomy

Here we cover the structure of the female breast as well as its functions. But we also talk about our immune system and especially our lymphatic system.

Chapter 2: Cancer

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women, but what actually is cancer? Where in the breast does it develop, and what do we know about the breast cancer gene? What are the common diagnostic procedures and what follows?

Chapter 3: Operation methods

After the diagnosis, the surgery of the affected breast follows rather quickly. The main categories of surgery are the "mastectomy" and "breast conserving" types of surgery, also referred to as "BCT." We will explain both types of surgery in detail. This knowledge is, among other things, for the selection of Amoena Recovery Care products

Chapter 4: Reconstruktions

Breast reconstruction is becoming an increasingly important field. For this reason, we have expanded our portfolio and also offer customized, sensible and effective product solutions here. In this chapter you will gain the necessary knowledge to asess the needs of patients having breastr reconstruction.

Chapter 5: Therapy

The chapter on therapy overlaps with surgical methods and reconstructions, depending on which path the treating physicians or the patient chooses.
